Leadership matters The Legislative Black Caucus continues to advance legislation that is beneficial and helpful to New Jersey families, our communities, and small businesses.

The Legislative Black Caucus has been purposeful, responsive, and innovative with moving forward on many fronts to expand access to healthcare in a pandemic; enact social justice reform; address food insecurity; housing and economic stability.

We have always worked together to create seismic change in New Jersey. In many ways, the LBC has worked as a think tank to ensure our voices are heard, our issues are heard, and our concerns are addressed at the top levels of government. We understand that change must start with the collective and that it is our duty to continue to fight for those who need it most.

The mission of the New Jersey Legislative Black Caucus includes prioritizing legislative and policy agendas to insure that people of color in particular are treated equally, and justly when it comes to social justice, economic justice, and criminal justice reform; and are afforded the equity.
